About Us
Who We Are
Introduction
Holy Cow Foundation (HCF) is dedicated to building a safe, healthy habitat for abandoned and distressed animals across India. With cattle welfare often neglected, HCF supports gaushalas in adopting sustainable, well-managed models that ensure proper care for the animals. The foundation also trains teams in creating and marketing Panchgavya products, empowering shelter staff and disadvantaged women with meaningful livelihood opportunities. These natural, chemical-free products promote wholesome living and encourage eco-friendly habits through the use of recycled and reusable materials.
HCF has launched an Animal Petting Farm in Delhi/NCR, creating a natural sanctuary for animals and a healing, recreational space for people who value nature and animal welfare. To further strengthen community engagement, curated events and interactive experiences are being introduced.
Our mission is to help Gaushalas across India adopt sustainable, ethical, and self‑reliant systems. By guiding them to care for cows responsibly, develop natural Panchgavya products, and uplift local communities especially women we aim to create a model where animal welfare, environmental protection, and human empowerment coexist and thrive.
Holy Cow Foundation envisions reviving the essence of a sustainable ‘Vedic Village’—a way of life rooted in harmony with animals, nature, and community. Our vision stands on four strong pillars: protecting indigenous cows, promoting authentic Panchgavya and Ayurvedic products, preserving the environment, and empowering underprivileged women through meaningful skill‑building.

FAQs
a. Can you explain how HCF supports Gaushalas? +
HCF helps Gaushalas attain economic sustainability by providing training on how to make Panchgavya products and also helps them set up production units. HCF helps create high quality products, assists in marketing them and create a stable buyer base for such products. Ad hoc support, for urgent construction work, economic sustainability etc, is also provided.
b. Many people are giving up milk and its products due to veganism, and also animal cruelty. What is your opinion on this? +
Veganism is a very sensitive issue and HCF fully supports it in today’s scenario. Veganism is good for the health of each individual as well as the animals. HCF promotes products made from cow dung and urine. WE DO NOT PROMOTE DAIRY. The need for steady efforts to spread awareness about the cruelty behind dairy cannot be slighted. HCF promotes the use of cows’ dung and urine for agriculture and other such products to enable self sustainment of non milking cows and economic benefit to cow shelters.
c. What are the many ways in which the cow benefits society? +
The cow has long been revered in Indian tradition as a symbol of nurturing, abundance, and holistic well-being. For centuries, its dung and urine have been used in rituals, agriculture, and natural wellness practices, forming the foundation of several indigenous and plant-based systems of care.
Alongside its spiritual significance, cow-based and Panchgavya-inspired practices have shown encouraging outcomes in holistic and preventive health. The cow also plays an important role in eco-friendly farming, soil enrichment, and sustainable living—making it a deeply respected contributor to our society.
